Pelvic Health Physiotherapy

Involves the assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor muscles and surrounding structures. An assessment entails a detailed subjective history and series of specific questions, which is then followed by an objective exam which often includes internal assessment of the musculature and surrounding tissues.

The pelvic muscles help control the function of the bladder and bowel, give stability to the low back and hips, and play an important role in sexual functioning.
