Joe Yetman
Owner/ Physiotherapist
Ascend Health was founded by Joe Yetman. Joe was born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland. He graduated from Memorial University with a Bachelor of Kinesiology (Honours) in 2016. He then went on to pursue a Masters of Science Physiotherapy, from Dalhousie University graduating in 2018.
In addition to being a physiotherapist, Joe is a certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist with high performance specialization through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology, and is one of only a few physiotherapists in Newfoundland with this designation.
Joe’s clinical focus is musculoskeletal injury rehabilitation and concussion management. He is committed to determining the underlying factors to an injury, and applies the most evidence-based patient-centered approach to treatment.
Stephanie Yetman
Registered Massage Therapist/ Shareholder
Steph has a love for helping people which has led her to the career she has today. She graduated the Massage Therapy program at Eastern College in St. John’s in 2015. Since then she has been practicing in a clinical setting and is an active member with the CMTNL and NLMTA.
In 2021, Steph became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist through ILWTI. She is the vice president of the Lymphedema Association of NL and one of very few CLTs in Newfoundland.
Steph’s clinical focus is treating musculoskeletal injuries and lymphedema. Steph utilizes a variety of hands-on massage techniques as well as cupping and instrumented soft tissue mobilization’s during her treatments
